International security: the 7th World Peace Forum at Tsinghua

To discuss the issue of international security, on multiple levels, this past weekend gathered together 43 ambassadors to China, diplomat staff from over 60 foreign countries, and veteran statesmen and leading scholars including:

Tsinghua held the 7th World Peace Forum, July 14th and 15th, to bring together these great minds with one common goal, and the theme of the Forum: “Constructing a Security Community: Equality, Equity, and Justice.”

Prof. Yan Xuetong, Director of The Institute of International Studies, Tsinghua University, is the Secretary General of the World Peace Forum and moderated the Opening Ceremony of the 7th World Peace Forum.

This year, in addition to two discussion plenaries and two lunch meetings, the Forum also held over 20 panels, which covering a wide range of topics, such as anti-terrorism and anti-nuclear proliferation, security issues, trade conflicts and economic security, as well as AI technology and its impact on international relation.

With such multifaceted and complex topics, the Forum brings together bright minds to discuss current and potential issues, to find solutions and challenge standards.
