Introduction
Zhengfeng LI (李正风), Professor of the Department of Sociology, Director of Tsinghua University-CASAD Research Center for Synergetic-development of Science and Society, Deputy Director of the Center for Science & Technology Development and Governance, Tsinghua University. He once served as Vice Chairman of the Chinese Association of Development Strategy Studies, Chairman of the Sub-committee of the Sociology of Sciences in Chinese Sociological Association, the executive member of the Chinese Society for Dialectics of Nature, and the executive member of the Chinese Association for Science of Science and S&T Policy. He is acting as Associate Editor-in-Chief of “Studies in Science of Science”, and “Cultures of Science”. He has served as a member of the drafting group of the “National Medium- and Long-Term Program for the Development of Science and Technology (2006-2020)” and a member of the expert group on the revision of the “Science and Technology Progress Law of the People’s Republic of China”. He was selected into the “One Hundred Social Science Theoretical Talents Project the New Century in Beijing” in 2001 and the “Trans-Century Training Program Foundation for the Talents by the Ministry of Education” in 2009. The main research interests were around social studies of sciences, studies on S&T development strategy and policy, cultures and ethics of science and technology, innovation system of China.
